When then weather changes and it starts getting humid around 12 pm, that means there’s lots of anxious and excited High School Seniors waiting for that last bell to ring in the beginning of June. Lots of big changes are on the horizon for them and though High School affords them the opportunity to open their minds, it really teaches them about how to network. The chapters after high school begin to define who these seniors will be. Initially I would’ve liked a Do-Over for my school days but i realize that its everything that came after that changed everything. Being in the position to take these Senior pictures is so interesting to me. Its really a beginning of a story for each one. I’m thankful for the opportunity to be invited into that for my cousin Danny. Hes got big plans and definitely a leg up on most people because hes starting off with a direction.I was too busy trying to simply Graduate let alone figure out what i was going to do next. (Speaking of which, Thank you Mrs Murphy I know I didn’t deserve to graduate. You definitely did me a solid.)
A couple weeks ago the Gurp City Affiliates Big Sammy, Eddie K along with Block Burners and Jake Uno made a pit stop at the infamous Stag Bar in Woodland CA. I was especially excited because BS was showing off a couple tracks from the Refrigerator Perry EP that we’ve been working on for the last couple years. This was the first time that ive head the tracks on a PA system. As expected between the bass rumbling and people dancing, there was probably the equivalent of a 6 pack of beer spilled on the dance floor, it happens.
The big man thoroughly did his job to the extent that he ended his set with a mic drop while he playing Brotha Lynch Hung’s “Refuse to Lose”.
And on that note….. (mic dropped)

We had a very productive week so I thought id share some stills from one of the sessions we had with Carina, a soon to be Woodland High School Graduate, GO WOLVES! As a WHS alumni myself, I was super excited for the opportunity to photograph one of the most pivotal moments in her life so far. Shes got big plans for the future and I’m glad i was there to capture the moment. Initially we started in the Historical area of Woodland but began migrating where ever we saw open spaces with lots of color. Fortunately, Downtown Woodland is filled with them so we only went a couple of blocks. After a while we decided to change things up and took a trip to a special place I’ve been scoping out. These were my favorites from the session. We had lots of really good lighting, and my subject was so easy to work with! Best of luck on your future endeavors Carina!
It was really awesome to see my hometown buzzing with activity. Thank you to Woodland Street Cruisers for organizing the Back to the Street car show. It reminded me of the Cruise Night that we used to have on Main Street. Cars, People, Parties….its just nice to see the community out like this. All we need now is for businesses to stay open later, for Main Street Shops to be open on Sundays, and of course we need someone to open a Chipotle in town. (Guaranteed to make $$$$)
Anywhoo, i was feeling kinda nostalgic so i was shooting for a vintage look and wanted to show as much detail as i could. Hope you like em. check the album HERE
LIVE @ The Stag Bar FRIDAY MAY 15TH 2015
I’m charging all my batteries and getting my bag ready to document this event. My homie Big Sammy and I have been working on his newest projected titled “Refrigerator Perry” for some time now. Its been in the slow cooker so by now its extra juicy, fall off the bone status. The EP features production by EC and yours truly.
Fellas make sure you iron your clothes, get your fade cleaned up and get hype. Ladies get your lip liners and sharpies ready so you can look extra fly for the pix.
Just make sure to hold onto your beverages because i guarantee you the beats will be rattling you across the dance floor.

Its that time again. Its when the skin tight low-fade has disappeared into the salt and pepper colored stubs on my dome and when the extra crispy line up from the old fashioned razor has somehow turned into a blur. When this happens, its off to see my cousin/ barber Bundy aka #BunztheBarber at Main Event Barbers. Old fashioned atmosphere, complimentary beverages on tap, and if you need it, they have my favorite Pomade available. Bunz ill see you this week my dood.
If you haven’t stopped by, make an effort to get there.

What better way to enjoy a tuesday evening, better yet a Taco Tuesday, even better, Cinco de Mayo but with $1 tacos, cold beers and live salsa music provided by Conjunto Liberacion at Maria’s Cantina in the Wood. The classic salsa compositions had me shooting for a vintage look, hopefully it translates.

Busy busy weekend. Had me thinking in really need to invest in some battery packs.
One of the events we visited was the “Back To The Street” car show hosted by the Woodland Street Cruisers Club. Couldn’t have had better weather. There were so many beautiful cars, I nearly filled up a 16 gb memory card. Ive only finished touching up a couple pix but ill be posting more in the next couple of days. You can check them out HERE.
Ill be sure to update everyone when they’re online.
Don’t forget, if you have a shiny beauty on 4 wheels and would like to have pix done, I may know someone who could get it done for you!
